Shoestring Catches is a site for stories about baseball and it's history.
Although there will be a lot of historical information available, there will be plenty of discussion of new topics as well.
Donald Tincher was a sports writer and college sports information director for more than two decades before joining the world of bloggers.
During his time as a sports writer, he covered high school, college and professional baseball both at the major and minor league levels for a local newspaper. He has also written about many other sports including basketball, football, soccer, cross country, track, volleyball, tennis, field hockey and bowling.
From 1997-2004, Tincher covered auto racing events at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Eldora Speedway and Winchester Speedway.
With a degree in journalism, Tincher is a 1986 graduate of Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. He was a basketball student manager for the Cardinals from 1981-85.
After graduation, he became a high school and college basketball coach before entering the writing profession.
He is a proud stockholder of the Green Bay Packers.
